Two themed poems by Jack Forey

Two poems
by Jack Forey

VIRGIN MARY LAB

Virgin Mary lab
My Virgin Mary lab
Red white pink blue green purple orange yellow
Black and white
I’ve got your Virgin Mary
I’ve got all your Virgin Marys
I take them from your yards
I take them home and pimp them hard
Other people venerate them
But I just think of the colors I can paint them
In my lab
My Virgin Mary lab
Red white pink blue green purple orange yellow
Black and white

ROACHES

Brown and evil
German Kafka roaches
Big ones
Gnarly ones
Cockroaches, roaches
Roaches crawling on the walls, you’ll never kill them all
Roaches are inside your home, now the roaches call your home their own
Roaches creeping
Roaches crawling
Cockroaches

Author bio:

Jack Forey (AKA Jack Fairlane) is a 36 year old unpublished writer living in Bellevue, Nebraska. When he’s not writing short stories and poems that no one wants to read he spends a lot of time hiding from his neighbors, who think he’s weird and possibly dangerous because he’s “quiet” and likes to hang out at the library. He also likes drinking beer, watching TV and picking his nose.
